Steven Paul Jobs left our world leaving one of the biggest footprints that a human being could possibly make. From inventing computers in his garage at just 21 years young, to working for the Bush White House at just 33 years old. The world's most intellectual young hippie changed our reality and paved the way for many generations to come.

Being such an influence and inspiration, it's only right to wonder if Steve Jobs would have supported a Donald Trump Presidency

Aside from changing the world on many many levels.. The Apple Founder and CEO also had some strong philanthropically and political views. To save you a lifelong biography, we'll stick to important details to attempt answering the question at hand.

Steve Jobs actually had dinner with Obama in 2011. What is most notable about the dinner held between the two men is their discussion on work VISAs, manufacturing and American economics. Jobs plead with Obama, stating that the U.S.A. needs to be more competitive on a global scale in terms of taxes and regulations.

Jobs also claimed that he wanted to bring Apple's foreign jobs back to America. He suggested a program where foreigners who've earned an engineering degree could be given a visa to stay. He believed that more trained American engineers would promote American manufacturing growth. Obama told Jobs that he could ONLY get that accomplished through the well known Dream Act.

"The president is very smart," said Jobs, "but he kept explaining to us reasons why things can't get done. It infuriates me."

It's clear that Obama and Jobs had a strong mutual respect and appreciation for each other although they did hold some fundamental disagreements. Obama expressed great sympathy when Jobs passed away.

Jobs loved the environment, progressive technological thinking, and seeing the less fortune being taken care of. A self proclaimed "hippie", he had very deep emotional connections to many aspects of the world. The entrepreneurship spirit, however, is often accompanied with a broad economic understanding and a strong 'go getter' mentality. The man was extremely versatile.

According to Walter Isaacson’s biography of the iconic CEO, Jobs said that "oppressive regulations, a broken immigration system and an antiquated education system" made it impossible to build Apple’s products in America.

While Trump’s immigration policy is focused on deporting criminals and keeping terrorists out, he has said that he supports immigration of highly skilled workers, as long as “those jobs are offered to American workers first” and not used as a “cheap labor program.”

I would still assume that Jobs would be critical on Trump's immigration policy, given the perception which is portrayed by certain media outlets.

However I believe that Jobs had the political and historical IQ to decipher around much of the fake news that we see today. It's a simple approach really, where seeing or hearing in not believing. Rather, validating and verifying is believing.

Whether you love Trump or hate Trump, credit him or some mystical wizard with a magical wand, anyway you want to cut it.. The U.S. economy and manufacturing is BOOMING under President Trump.

Funny isn't it? The same policies which Jobs stated as having a negative impact on American business and manufacturing are the same policies which Donald Trump has reversed. Those being high taxes, hectic regulation, uncontrolled immigration, bad trade deals, and even poor job training programs. President Trump, all opinions aside, has focused his efforts in correcting these failed economic areas. And you know what? President Trump's agenda, by the numbers and statistics, is winning.

With that said, I do not think that Steve Jobs would support a President Trump. I believe that Steve Jobs would have gone as far as to endorse President Trump and likely even have a special spot in his cabinet or administration.

Food For Thought

In 2017, Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak stated - "Having been close to Steve Jobs, and not that close to Elon Musk, I'd say Steve Jobs is more like (President) Trump.". This in response to simply being asked whether the Tesla CEO Elon Musk is similar to Jobs.
We all know that Donald Trump is a big fan of Jobs. But did you know that he was also a fan of Steve Jobs throughout the 80's and 2000's? Trump has Tweeted about Steve Jobs numerous times, even Tweeting this quotes on FOUR separate occasions:

"'Be a yardstick of quality. Some people aren't used to an environment where excellence is expected.'
-- Steve Job"
